KEW GARDENS, NY – SBAGK hosted the first of monthly round table discussions presented by the Queens County Women’s Bar Association Private Law Committee. Nearly twenty practitioners tackled the topic of the day: What gives you anxiety?
Special guest, Supreme Court Justice Sally Unger, presented both her experiences on each side of the bench and heard from participants about the stresses of working in private practice—making calendar calls, communications with the court, dealing with difficult clients and many other topics.
“We had a great turnout today! Everyone contributed,” said Partner Preet Gill, who is also a board member for the Queens Women’s Bar Association. “It’s important that we as lawyers acknowledge that while the field may be stressful at times, we are not alone and we are here to help each other. I’m so proud to be a part of such an active organization that truly cares about the lives of fellow attorneys. A big thank you to Judge Unger for attending and giving us her valuable insight.”
The monthly morning round table will be held at SBAGK’s office and will focus on topics affecting lawyers that are in private practice.
